Businesses need employees to have a range of skills and on this study programme you will learn about enterprise in the business world, finance, and how to plan and run a small business.
Business is an exciting and topical course which students can relate to. You will study topics such as marketing, finance, human resources and operations management and analyse how they influence the way in which a business performs. And will gain useful project management skills, which will help you organise your time, money and products/services effectively in a rapidly changing market.
You will develop advanced skills of Business application, analysis and evaluation. These skills are transferable and will help you build a solid foundation for study in higher education, or future employment and promotional prospects in Management, Accounting, Marketing, Human Resources, or as a Teacher, Civil Servant or Entrepreneur
The course also looks at the impact that external factors have on business activity such as interest rates, environmental issues and globalisation. You will develop an array of skills such as analysing data and critical thinking on the Business course which will be invaluable in later life whether you work in a Business or decide to run a Business of your own.
